DESCRIPTION

VoodooMuzak is a 15 years old band based in the French side of the Basque Country. People know Voodoo Muzak for being one of the first noise-core band of the French scene. Complex structures, tortuous and endless melodies or bewitching percussive noise are words often used to describe the music of the five previous album of V.M.. However, the band has never found a stylistic line to stay on (fortunately). More by necessity than by choices the band has evolved for the last 8 years around many different formations in duet, trio, quartet or quintet, which do not follow the traditional band scheme with regular rehearsals but rather meet for two/three weeks projects that end up by a small tour and an album. One thing that has not changed since the fourth album ìCartilageî is the two drums set which is now surrounded by two basses and an omnipresence of computer processing. Finally, Voodoo Muzak is a defender of the independent idea and has never released more than a thousand records because of that. However, Voodoo Muzak tends to be known by fine musicians and music lovers around the world and carries on releasing/producing album-project like the last one "Brouillarta".
